My Story

I have been active for as long as I can remember. When I was five years old, I started playing basketball. I quickly fell in love with the game, and then fell in love with any and every sport I played. Being active is one of my most treasured past times, whether that is playing a sport, running a race, or hiking a mountain, exercise is ingrained in my lifestyle because I find it FUN! Exercising does not need to be a burden and I'm here to share my story and help you enjoy fitness.

By the time I reached high school, I was playing basketball and lacrosse year round, sometimes having 2-3  practices a day. When I was entering into my junior year of high school, I tore my right ACL in a basketball game. I was devastated because my injury required a year of rehabilitation. However, I picked myself up, endured rigorous physical therapy, and was ready to begin my active lifestyle once again a year later.

Heading into my senior year of high school, I was ecstatic to be able to exercise once again. However, one week after I was cleared to play sports, I tore my left ACL.

Through my experiences, I realized what a crucial role fitness and exercise plays in one's life. My past injuries allow me to never take being active for granted again. I have always found exercising fun, but now I treasure and enjoy all my active moments. I now want to share my story and motivate you to lead an active lifestyle and so you can reap all the benefits it brings. Most importantly, I want to show you that fitness can be FUN!
